Happy Mother's Day to whoever might be celebrating. :-) 

 My hubby gave me a card this morning and it says: I know this is Mother's Day and you're my wife, not my mother... (open card) ...but thanks for taking care of me anyway. Happy Mother's Day.

I added another 2k to my Bites story last night, and I'll peck away at it throughout the weekend. My goal has been to finish this book and have it ready to submit by the end of the month. So far so good.

I'm taking the evening off (I say evening, it's 11 pm here) to do a bit of writing and reading. I read through half of Patricia Wilson's Walk Upon the Wind, and I forced myself to put it down so I could write for a while. I'm be doing a book review about this little gem shortly.

This Thursday, May 8, The Midnight Moon Cafe will be interviewing Patrice Michelle. She is the author of the Scion series for Silhouette Nocturne, and she will join us to celebrate the release of the second book in the series: Insurrection.

The 2008 NOLA Written in the Stars conference in Shreveport, LA was a blast! I got home yesterday evening, and I am happy to say I took a TON of pictures, including those of the editors and agents that attended. I'm tweaking the first few chapters of my wip in preparation of the Written in the Stars conference in Shreveport this coming Friday and Saturday. I have everything I need, and it's all ready to go: everything from clothes to appointments to the hotel room.

Can I admit I'm a bit nervous about going?  Is there such a thing as pre-conference jitters? 

Yesterday I finished my first draft. Woohoo! It's a werewolf piece for the Nocturne Bites line.  Gotta love sexy alpha males...

While my guys (hubby and the two younglings) went shopping at the mall and BAM Saturday, I stayed home and worked on my wip for Nocturne Bites. The time paid off too. I am now officially half way through my story. *dance, dance*

It's been an exciting day so far. I've been working on my latest WIP, and pulling something special together to submit to an upcoming line here at HQN at the same time.
