Fake Frenchie's blog

Sorry!

I haven't read a book since the last one I blogged.  I'm feeling guilty.  No so guilty that I am reading, but guilty enough to post about my guilt.  *sigh*

Innocent

Is it necessary to tell the truth when writing a "memoir"?

I invite you all (writers, readers and publishers) to read this editorial and to chime in with your opinion on the controversy.

Sarah Zettel's Paths to Camelot series

This was posted on Sarah's website.

The final book in my Paths to Camelot series: Camelot's Blood (otherwise known as Agravain's Story) is available from Amazon.co.uk.

I hope those that were reading this series before it was cut from the LUNA lineup will order it.

Banks and Fury

Just wasted an entire afternoon when I should have been working.  FIrst, I had to go to the bank to fix a problem that they had made.  This is the third time I've had to go to solve the SAME problem.  The branch office manager told me on the phone that the solution would be free. Then, when I get there and enact the solution, I find that there is a cost.

Book Challenge numbers

Well, as of today (17/01/08), Challenge bloggers have read 1064 books.  That means 62.5 books per day. Multilplying this daily score by 365 puts the Challenge at 22 845 books by the end of the year.  This is a respectable showing, but very far from the 100 000 Challenge.  Will HQ donate books even if the 100 000 mark is not attained?

Dream Team

I find I'm really missing the Dream Team blog as it was last year. I used to go and read the summaries of the varied books read by the different people on the team and the sharp witty commentaries of My Dearest Gnat. Now that there is no central team blog, the reviews are separate from the commentaries and both are fairly hard to find. Plus, the format with teasers drives me crazy.

Tire kicking

Heyla everybody.  I'm having troubles ajusting to the new site, but then, I'm almost as old as dirt and so can't be expected to take to newfangled technical stuff like a fish to water.  I hope you all have a higher frustration quotient than I do.
