Esperance-Roses-1dz-snip.jpg

MENTAL STATUS: "Pleased". Getting a lot of writing done, Mother's Day is coming up, and we're going on vacation soon.

FAST DRAFT PROGRESS: 8 pages yesterday! Yeah, I know, still not goal, but don't be a Captain Bring Down on me.

What's for Dinner?

Fast Draft progress: Wrote 8 pages yesterday. Not my goal, exactly, but considering I felt like something that had been run over a few times, I'm pleased.

Idol Chat

And then there were five--

on American Idol, that is.

Gone Baby Gone?

Ok. Who watched American Idol last night? Was I the only one who actually felt sucker punched when they announced Michael Johns was going home.

Holy smokes, I could think of at least three that should have went before him.

**sigh**

Reader Sorbet

I write romance. I love to read romance. But sometimes I need a break--a little reading "sorbet", if you will. So I decided to read a thriller this time around: Heartsick by Chelsea Cain.

Dancing Bear

MENTAL STATUS: "Foggy". Had TWO birthday parties for the girlie this weekend. I'm tired. Nuff said.

I'm not Irish, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a cheap laugh at their expense. Sorry, this e-mail made me chuckle. Just a teeny bit. (Hey, I'm only human)

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place.

Friday Results

First results: My mom's Soup. (from the last blog post)

I made it. It was...good. Not awesomely outrageous good. But good. Of course, after the fact, my mom happened to let it slip that she also put one chopped up jalapeno pepper in it. (Grrr.) That was information I could have used WEDNESDAY.

Disgruntled Cook

I think I mentioned that I went to my mom's the other day. We had a nice visit, did a little shopping, a lot of gabbing, etc... Then we came back to her condo around lunchtime. She told me she made some soup I had to try. That was cool with me. I like soup. I was hungry. Plus, she offered to serve it with a nice hunk of fresh bread.
