Well ladies, the day is finally here. DH left on the 26th to serve our country in Afghanistan for 12 months. I've spent my time moping on the couch but have decided it's time to get up off my widening butt and do some stuff I've been wanting to do but had no time for. Cause trust me, all I have now is time.

Goals:

I'm taking a bit of a break from writing this month.  Too much going on and lots of time to spend with my husband before he goes overseas.  Doesn't mean ideas aren't spinning like a cement mixer in my head. xD But there's just no time to focus and sit down and write.  I'll have plenty of time for that in January. :( 

Have you ever watched Casper the movie?  The one with Christina Ricci?  I have.  Again. And again. And again.  And again.  And again. And again. And again................

I've been a little blue with my husband's deployment looming and the fact that he's in a class all week.  I wish he didn't have to work at all the month before he leaves to work 12+ hour days in the blistering heat for a straight year. 

I'm thoroughly enjoying the workshops (or Q&A) that's going on on the Write Stuff forum.  I have to admit I get really lost when trying to develop characters and their backstories that this weeks is a great one!  xD

It's still snowing and once again I was woken up to the sound of little feet banging on the back of a crib.  My downstairs neighbors must looove me.  I'm being serenaded by my little wonder...singing a German song my husband lets him listen to. Ohne Dische by Rammstein.  Except little Lo draws it out like a funeral dirge.  xD   

Although I'm unable to complete the goal I pledged of 50,000 words this month for NanoWriMo, I think I'll come away from the experience with a positive outlook.  It's not about what I didn't accomplish..it's about what I did.
