<div>In the UK, there is a new government back initiative -- the National Year of Reading. To help launch the year, they have produced  an advert --- http://www.youtube.com/2008yearofreading-- a mash of celebrities reading out loud. It is wonderful. Part of it has a man reading a M&B Modern in a bar. I am still trying to figure out which Modern.

The Plotted Plant

In writing, rationalisation is everything. Having the reader accept and understand the why behind actions helps the reader suspend disbelief and stay connected to the story.

Writer's Block

This is a compilation of  3 blog posts that appeared in January 2008 on my regualr blog. www.michellestyles.blogspot.com. Hence the length.

Switching Point of View v Head hopping

I think this blog will feature some of my more memorable blogs on writing.

This one from earlier this omonth on Unusual historicals ( http://unusualhistoricals.blogspot.com/ )deals with the courtship ritual/sexual sequence that is inherent all cutures.

On Revisions aka a reasonably useful post on revisions

Michelle on revisions:   I love other parts of writing.

Some news

My ninth book has been accepted -- A Question of Impropriety. It comes out in November 08 in the UK. I was thrilled and delighted that they kept my title. This is the first time that I have had a title stick since The Gladiator's Honour.

Now all I have to do is finish the sequel...

A new place to blog

I see that e-harlequin has created a blog space for its users. The vast majoirty of my blogs can be found at http://www.michellestyles.blogspot.com/

And I generally blog there once a day.

I am trying to figure out what I shall use this blog for. Best of? Writing techniques? News about my books? Book reviews?
