I have to say, I'm so sick of heroines who can't show a little bit of pride! I know I may be a bit too much on the Independent Female side of this here, but I hate it when a guy will say or do something so harsh or disrespectful to the heroine, and later she just takes him back when he gives her a quick apology...

I have to say, I LOVE Diana Palmer's books....I especially love her Long Tall Texans series...she mentions heros and heroines from one book in another book about a different Hero/Heroine...and you get a glimpse into what their life turned out like after the book's ending...
