183. Angela Knight ~ Mercenaries ~ Berkley Sensation [TPB Anthology]

challenge_name:

I got this book because it was one of Angela Knight's that I hadn't read before... was I ever in for a treat!  Whichever way you look at it, this is vintage Angela Knight taken to a outer space and some very erotic encounters ~ all tamed by sizzling romances~ and I love it!  She writes extremely sexy and H-O-T!! heroes and feisty, sexy and strong heroines that are more than a match for the men.  The action is top-notch... and the sex?... WHEW!  Air conditioning would be a bonus when reading this... I had to make do with an electric fan.  Undecided  Wink  Laughing
Once again, Angela Knight creates characters that take on a life of their own... and if she ever decides to do a look back at Trinity and Nathan, Zaria and Sebastian and Cassidy and Rune, I'll be in line as quick as I can!  Fun, sexy and a great read.  VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Secrets : volume 2

Contemporary, Regency, futuristic, and a historical set in Mexico....I love whenever authors go after a different setting, like Suan Paul did in Savage Garden...but I must say, the zero gravity love scene in Angela Knights's Roarke's Prisoner made that the best story of the bunch.

Shifter Anthology by Angela Knight, Lora Leigh, Alyssa Day, & Virginia Kantra Berkley 03/08 / Kindle

challenge_name:

This was another anthology where all four stories were really good. The stories by Leigh and Day were part of their ongoing series and really good. Angela Knight's are always good and Virginia Kantra's is the prequel to a story coming out soon. Rating: Great NFM

Secrets: Volume 3

This edition of the Secrets anthologies requires more of a suspension of belief than the others - which is fine once you accept that. I'm not reading for realism anyway. Angela Knight's Blood and Kisses was a stand-out in this group.

Jane's Warlord by Angela Knight (Science Fiction Romance)

challenge_name:

My Review:

Science Fiction romance with a robotic and genetically engineered Warlord hero (from the future) and a present day reporter heroine.  She's investigating a serial killer, and he is sent to protect her from that serial killer who is actually wanted by officials in the future.  They have a hell of a time trying to prevent the serial killer from killing women, and the killer taunts the heroine with his plans for making her one of his victims.  The hero won't let her out of his protective sight, which naturally leads to some very very steamy sex scenes, one scene basically rolls into the next.  This is erotic romance after all!  Great plot, great steam, characters that are interesting and fun.  Personally I prefer Angela Knight's vampire stories (the Magiverse series) to this tale of the future, because I find blood lust sexier than gadgets from the future, but that's just a personal preference.  This book was a fantastic and incredibly steamy read, and I really enjoyed it.

An hour later, Jane realized she was a slut.

Master of Dragons by Angela Knight (Paranormal romance)

My Review:

Paranormal Romance with a dragon hero and a fairy princess heroine.  She's the last avatar, destined to be the one to free her people's goddess, who has been imprisoned in a sword for thousands of years.  The heroine needs the help of Kel, a dragon, who was trapped in a sword himself for years, and who is part of the prophecy.  They need to have sex to strengthen the goddess (mmm, any excuse for some tantric sex eh? *grin*  This is erotica).  They start to care about each other.  I love that the hero is damn sure of his feelings and knows it's love and isn't afraid to admit it.  Unfortunately, this pesky little prophecy predicts that Kel will have to kill his fairy princess with his flame to free the goddess and save the magical kind from the Dark Ones, an alien threat.  Together, they fight to come out of this alive and get to enjoy their love.  Great book, incredible steam.  I think I actually prefer Angela Knight's magical universe to the world of Nocturne writers, it's so much more intense, cohesive, and erotic.  *grin*

Rating: 4.5/5 stars, pretty much every Angela Knight book is so damned good it's pretty much a keeper if I can afford it. NFM

153. Anthology ~ Shifter ~ Berkley Sensation Paranormal Romance (March 08)

challenge_name:

I got this book as soon as I saw it in the store ~ after all it had stories by both Angela Knight and Lora Leigh, both of whom are favourites and autobuys for me. Both these stories I really liked, as I had thought that I would.
What I hadn’t really expected was that I would like the other two stories as well. I did, slightly, prefer Virginia Kantra’s story to Alyssa Day’s; but either way, this book rates a very solid 4.0, aka Excellent!! The steaminess rating? They’re all definitely more along the lines of romantica ~ Heat Wave anyone?

Beyond The Dark Anthology Angela Knight, Diane Whiteside, Emma Holly, & Lora Leigh

challenge_name:

One of the best anthologies I've read. Angela Knight's was very different and would like to see a longer book in this world. Hers and Lora Leigh's were my favorites, but I really enjoyed Diane Whiteside's with her twist on Bonaparte's invasion. There was a very tender romance also. Emma Holly's story was well done it was just a bit too erotic for my taste. Overall an excellent read.
