MISTRESS FOR A MONTH by Ann Major, Silh Desire, May 08.

This was my 1st book by Ann Major.  I found myself lost a few times as the  story line.  It left a lot out that came to involve all concern later on.  The story is good but it was not a smooth running story line.  It skipped too much or maybe too many players.  The mystery of the bad man was more real than the other parts of the story line.  hard to follow. 

They met when he was 18 and she was 14.

Amelia’s favorite Aunt has died and left her a chateau in France. Remy has sworn to bring it back into the family at any cost. When she names her price, he decides he is up to the task. What neither of them considered would be the combustible results of her request.  

Major takes the reader on a fast-paced romp from Hawaii to France by way of London. She adds excitement and pathos into the story. This was a book I found hard to put down. Fortunately, two doctors’ appointments in one day left me with lots of reading time. Thumbs up.

“Always and forever, Nico, my darling.”

Her eyes were blazing as he stripped, flinging his formal clothes to the floor without a care.

“You win.”

Amelia Weatherbee just learned that her aunt had died and left her a chateau, a vineyard, and a Matisse. All of these had belonged to the de Fournier family until her aunt had married the comte who had died and she had inherited. Now her aunt has died and left it all to Amelia. Because of the way they had treated her aunt Amelia is not inclined to give/sell any of it back to the deFournier family.
