4.75 Stars.  I enjoyed it very much.  Fidelity & Justification, Interesting Plot.  

Her ex-husband stole her trust fund and she isn't trained for any employment.  Desperate for money, Juliet Hammond agrees to help out an old friend in return for a much-needed job reference.  When Juliet meets Raphael Marchese, they are extremely attracted to each other.  Rafe despises her as a gold-digger.  However, the tension between them is stronger than reason, and it erupts.

She was sensitive and naïve - and incredibly innocent - and he was about to ruin her life.  There was no justification for what he was doing.  After all, Greeks respect their women; they don't take advantage of tehm. 

But he, of course, was only half Greek.  And he'd obviously forgotten the old Greek proverb that warns, "The man who lights the fire is not immune to being burned."  

My Review:

Lovely lovely premise: the hero falls in lust with the heroine, the caterer at his ex-girlfriend's engagement party, and he sets about chasing her.  I love a good chase.  The chemistry is great, the heroine is nicely innocent.  The heroine is engaged, which complicates things, the hero doesn't let the engagement stop him though he knows he should: he has no problem resisting his engaged ex-girlfriend, but he can't resist the engaged caterer he's instantly attracted to.

Olivia Gantry's husband has just died – she's 22 and he was some 40 odd years older than her – now his sole heir she is looking forward to dismantling his corporate empire and giving the proceeds to charity, but

Juliet's ex-husband had stolen all her money and left her destitute, jobless, and with no marketable skills.  A childhood friend offers her enough money to pay off her utility bills if she will accompany him to his grandmother's and pretend to be his girlfriend.

She's 20 years old and an heiress, he's a friend of her father and is her guardian until she's 21.  He sends for her to leave London and join him on an island because her deceased father was worried a man would marry her for her money.  The heroine has had a crush on the hero since she was 14 and he treated her with coolness.  She now feels the need to needle him and torment him, so she lets him think she's the bad girl he thinks and that she's pregnant.  The hero is engaged and wanted out of the engagement of convenience before the heroine came onto the scene.  They torment each other and are attracted, but he fights it.  Eventually, he wants her as his, regardless of whether she's pregnant (which she isn't).  She is still under the impression he is engaged, and rejects him.
