This is a reissue of a book published in May, 1998 as a Silhouette Romance book.

Mattie Kincaid was nineteen and just graduated from college. She was looking for a job and she found one but not one that would use her college degree. She was going to take care of Orren Ellis's four children. Her father was not pleased by this idea and was in hopes she would marry his choice. Mattie did not intend to marry her father's choice and was glad of the job of taking care of the four children and find her own husband.
Orren Ellis could not handle his four children without help and his house was a mess. He had been trying to remodel the house so the children would have more room. The four children included Chaz who was 8, Jean Marie who was 6, Yancy Kay who was 4 and Candy Sue who was 3.

This story was a bit too Steeple Hill "love inspired" for me. I have found for personal reading that religion popping up throughout is not a style I lean towards. My sister loves them though, so I will pass this one to her. I read it. I enjoyed parts of it. I found Amy to be a bit too self absorbed, often jumping too fast to wrong conclusions. Evans wanted to do good things, but he was almost too good. I do wish I could get Mattie to help spring clean my house.....wow

My Opinion: A lovely story of re-acquaintance, renewal of friendship and the growth of love. Anna Miranda (Anna) Burdett is a graphic artist who has always played pranks (teased, joked and showed off) in high school usually against Reeves Leland. That was her way of trying to get his attention but it turned out that she got a negative reaction.

#44-The minute I read the back cover of this,I spent the afternoon reading it,and enjoyed every minute of it. Trouble was when I finished I was wishing for the next one which won't be out until Spring 2010!!!! Is okay,will hopefully reread this one when next arrives so at least will have 2 then.

A Recipe For Disaster

Just could not git in this book was looking forward to reading this serous but i have been working on this book for 2 weeks, there was just nothing that got me into it i am hopeing the rest have more then a dieing father.

Wonderful 1st book in the upcoming Chatam House Series. I loved how the little ladies are trying to constantly match make everyone. Lets just hope that there plans all work out as well as the first one they tried.
