This story proved to be an interesting flight of fancy. She works for a wealthy businessman who has made a bet with a rival. Her boss will do anything to swing the race in his direction, including offering her up to the rival. Amelia Catalon is about to go on the adventure of her life with Rafael Sandoval, but is it worth it?

Fun story. Made me HUNGRY!

Thanks for a wonderful trip to the Greek Islands and for the awesome food. In a way this book reminded me of *An Affair to Remember.* Total escapism. Totally enjoyable.

Another slightly different tale. I liked Zack. He had an interesting story. Th eodd part of the whole tale though was little Danny. Zacka saw the photo albums. Did Susan not have some important photos in there or did Zack just not see them. Wahtever. I liked it and I liked the ending. I love the way Zack managed to bound with Danny and the way Susan wanted to keep Edith too

3 stars ~ Not one of my favourite Barbara McMahon story, but it's not a throw-at-the-wall book either. It's a good story even though I felt, a bit now and again, that everything went on a little too long. But Jackson and Mandy were good people; although it did strike me as a little out-of-nowhere regarding the immediate attraction.

McMahon starts this story out with a strong idea and executes it well until near the end. For my taste the hero’s growth seemed to stagnate three-fourths of the way through the book and then at the very end he flipped his thinking. It gave me the impression of a forced and rushed ending. It may feel just right to another reader.

After returning home from the Middle East where he is a construction/engineer he finds out he is a dad and that the baby was given up for adoption. The mother of his child has died and he had no idea the baby existed. He hires a PI to find the boy and he, by fate or his happenstance, becomes a part of the life of his little boy and his adoptive mother.

Who doesn't like a cowboy? I certainly do like them and this is an excellent story. The hero and heroine are both damaged by their past and have a hard time accepting each other but in the end they have learned to adapt. But it is hard for both of them as they have to do a lot of changing.

Caitlin Jackson inherited a ranch from her great uncle. Her idea was to visit the ranch and then put it up for sale. She realized it could take a long time to sell but that is what she thought she needed to do even thought the ranch had been in her family for a hundred years.
Her younger brother was only 16 years old and was deaf. He was with her when she went to take care of selling the ranch. He fell in love with it and learned to ride and to do some of the ranch chores like take care of the horses.
Zack Carson was the only ranch hand there at the time they arrived. He was an ex army medic who had been in Afghanistan. He lost his best friend there and witnessed the deaths of a lot of not only men (including his best friend), but also women and children. As a result he was still having nightmares and severe flashbacks. He had only been on the ranch two years when Clyde (the owner) died. Zack was a lone and did not want to remain on the ranch once Caitlin and Brandon arrived and he especially did not want to have anything to do with Brandon.
