This story was about a man fresh out of prison for a crime that he did not commit. During his 10 years in prison he became a christian.  When he was released  he was asked to look out for a friend's daughter, Rae, because her life was in danger. It took a while for Rae to trust him, but by the end of the story, trust wasn't the only thing she felt for him.

It took Kaylee a lot of courage to put her trust in Eli, a man who looked so much like the man that emotionally tortured her for two years.  This story was so real.  Compounds like Noah's exist and this is what make this story seem more like a non fiction than a fiction story.

This was a wonderful book about forgiveness.  First, Hunter had to forgive Rae's father, then Rae was able to forgive Hunter.  Then . . . Rae found out her father had not been the perfect man she thought he was and she forgave him.

There was lots of suspense that kept the story moving.  I enjoyed this book.
