This is a wonderful historical novel by Bronwyn Scott.  I loved this story and would recommend it to anyone who loves historicals.  It's about Brandon Wycroft, Earl of Stockport, and a female cat burgler, called -- you guessed it -- the Cat.  The Cat takes from the rich to give to the poor.  Her real name is Nora Portman, and she has been separated from her detestable husband for 7 years (she

Fast paced and enchanting. I really enjoyed Paine and Julia's story. Julia needed to be rescued from an unwanted marriage. Her groom-to-be actually insisted on her being examined by his physician to verify her virginity. She took matters into her own hands and found the gentleman with the worst reputation that she could think of to "ruin" her.

I especially liked the hero in this one...the black sheep of a noble family, disgraced, looking for redemption.  He was delicious.  The girl created here forced me to think about young women in Victorian times and how limited their options were...and I cheered this heroine as she bucked convention (and the hero....lol....).
