142. Cara Colter ~ The Playboy's Plain Jane ~ HR #4005 (Feb 08)
Oh I do love this story! It's the same kind of gentle romance that i enjoyed the first time that I read one of Cara Colter's books ~ Their Christmas Wish Come True. She has a way of bringing to life characters that are caught up in loss and pain, so much so that they are either blocking themselves off from life by building walls, or running so fast in the hope that they can outrun what they're feeling. Neither way works, of course, and it's not until they meet someone else who is also feeling a world of hurt, someone that calls to their heart that they realize just what they're doing. Cara Colter's stories and characters are magic; they bring to life hope, love and what it means to live, rather than just exist. Fabulous!
VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Their Christmas Wish Come True
This was a very cute little story that had several elements I really liked. The author used some fresh, vivid images and the ending had a little unexpected twist. The pacing was good, but i could have used maybe a little mroe romantic tension.
