C.E. Murphy

I really enjoyed this installment -- first of at least three. I'm 3/4 of the way through the second one and enjoying it, too. So far, I'm liking this series better than The Walker Papers (also by Murphy), which I really enjoyed. Available from LUNA and audible.com. Read by Eve Bianco. Margrit Knight was a bit nervous jogging in the park at midnight but she loved to run. She met Alban and later heard on the news there was a murder in the same park. Could he be the murderer and why can't they catch him? He's much more than he seems, in fact there's a whole fabled race of old ones she knew nothing about.

It starts with her friend Billy and then his wife going to sleep and not waking up. Then more of the police force are taken by the blue sleep. Somehow Joanne has to wake up her friends, keep it from spreading to more, and find the cause. I'm really enjoying these LUNA's and looking forward to Robin D. Owens next. Rating: Excellent NFM

This is book 2 in the Urban Shaman series starring Jo Walker. This series is great and I'm so glad I finally caved after reading all the wonderful reviews for them and gave them a try. It took a near death experience to get her Shamanic powers but now she's off and running, mainly from the fiends from the Wild Hunt. Joanne has three days to figure out her powers and stop the killing spree. Joanne graduated top third in the academy but works as a mechanic in the police garage. She'd never seen a dead body now there's two in three days.

This is a really tough blog for me, I enjoy this author, but this book didn’t work for me.  The premise sounds interesting and intriguing, Belinda is the bastard child of the Queen Lorraine (who strongly resembles the real Queen Elizabeth) and she is trained to serve as a secret weapon of her mother

Fantastic read. Book 3 in series and I actually am enjoying it more and more (didn't that was possible). Follows Joanne as she still is coming to grips with her talents as Seattle is beseiged by people who go to sleep and can't be awoken. It's up to Joanne to find out why....with a few revelations about her feelings about her captain, Morrison.

Margrit Knight is lawyer who likes to run in Central Park usually at night.    So when an intense tall stranger approaches her and says he wants her to defend him, she immediately thinks he is  a stalker.  She gets away from him rather quickly.  Then she is dancing in a night club and he approaches her on the dance floor and all but begs her to defend him.  Again she flees from him.
