Diana Hamilton

Hmm - this is one that the back blurb really doesn't do the book justice. I picked it out of the TBR for the word 'secret' in my 60 connections challenge (trying for 3x60 = 180 before we're done!). Glad I picked it out - I do enjoy Diana Hamilton and alpha/macho Italian men! And the heroine is no pushover either - determined to stand on her own feet.

A misunderstanding that spanned 7 years. Horrible mother, disgusting stepfather. The h & H had much bigger heart, all was forgiven.

I thought I would like this book more, but the main characters kept dancing around each other for to long.

4 Hearts! ~~~ Ms. Hamilton has given us wonderful characters that we quickly care about.  Their's is an emotionally intense journey, one that kept me turning the pages.

Talk about a guy who jumps to very ugly conclusions. It is hard to think Cayo could possibly believe the del Amos' tales. But obviously he does and he can't see beyond his very short sighted nose for a very long time. Izzy was a bit of a dingy character, which likely only added to her family not thinking she can stand on her own. I didn't like her brother even before he showed up in Spain. Was glad that Cayo came ot his senses in the end. Loved the eccentric uncle/tio
