The Master Player ( Max is not a Player)
Maximilian is not a player but an astute business man. This is a phrase where cultural difference come into play. In my experience the word "playa" would aptly describe the characters Laura, Troy and Chloe's mother. They are the embodiment of this phrase. Yes, Max can be ruthless but I can understand this given his background.

Damsel in Distress
Chole Rollins is his star and Max Hart will do anything in his power to save her from the scandal which is breaking. Her husband has cheated and her mother who is also her agent is ruining her life. Max saves Chloe from all this, but is he just doing this to save the show she is in, or is he wanting something more.

Ruthless Billionaire Forbidden Baby by Emma Darcy (Presents # 2844) 08/09
Tammy and Fletcher meet when they are paired up for in his sisters wedding. They begin an affair and eventually start living together. It is all a matter of convenience but Tammy wants more. Then she becomes pregnant. I've enjoyed Emma Darcy's Presents for a long time and I thought this one was good.

I love the wedding theme running through this one. Fletcher was a tycoon, intent on his one pleasures, but friends with some really nice people. He was too smart for his own good and his parents fed into his insecurities. Of course he hid those well behind his obnoxiousness. Poor Tamalyn...she didn't want to want this guy who was such a supposed misfit, but she did! Again the wedding, wedding, wedding.....theme was a fun touch in this book. Loved it!
