This is an older book, originally published in 1993. It's the first book in The Circle and I'm happy I have found all of them used, but in great condition.

    This is the first story by Evelyn Vaughn that I've read, but it won't be the last.  And I'll be checking to see if there are stories for the other three members of Sylvie's witches Circle ~ I'd love to find out more about Brigit, Mary and Cypress!  The mystery was well-done and there were definitely spine-tingling moments... and I did really love the relationship that developed between Sylvie and Rand... mmm, Rand....

I'd been meaning to reread this series for sometime and finally found myself with nothing new to read and nothing on Bean's shelves really caught my interest at the time. It still torks me hard-core that the powers that be cancelled the Bombshells.

I found this older book in a used book store.  I really loved her other books and this was not a disappointment.  Sylvie is a witch in Louisiana, owner of small mystic shop.The new guy in town pulls up in a hearse looking for books on witch spells.  He's opening a haunted house.  About the same time he shows up.  There are killings at the full moon and looks like theirs a werewolf in town.
