I’ve enjoyed the author’s Dr. Rhea novels, and she makes a brief appearance here. The story, though, revolves around the Chadwick family and Ashlee’s involvement with a serial killer who seems to choose his young victims by a connection with the Chadwicks.

This was a very intense, fast-paced cop thriller loaded with twists and turns. I completely enjoyed it and will soon be looking for more of Ms. Hunter's books! Loved the main character, Ashlee Davenport, a non-nonsense ER nurse who is not afraid of anything.
