Another great paranormal from Heather Graham!

Heather Graham never fails to capture my attention from the first page. She has really progressed over the years with her romance and paranormals. She does a beautiful job of both genres. I grab her books as soon as they are on the shelves. Sarah McKinley buys the historic mansion of her dreams. During the renovations, a discovery is made of tons of skeleton remains that are over a century old.

In this time of warewolves and vampires comes a book that travels back in time to the war between the states. And a mysterious man that shows up in the hopes to try to save his fathers old home town and the towns surrounding it. The vampires are all around and who do you trust? Who is undercover? Who is a traitor? Do they really have to dig up the dead to kill them all over again?

In traditional Graham it is a history/modern story. You spend time in the 1700's and in the 21st century. You thrust from old to new. You see if they can time travel, and you in around about way learn about the Soltice and how that can greatly empower a wican process. You are constantly wondering will they succeed? Who will "travel"? Who will stay?

Its becoming a tradition for me to read a scary book by Heather Graham around this time of year. I love it. This book was most certainly full of scary and creepy moments. And one of my favorites where the past meets the present. I loved following the h while she read the diaries of the people who once lived in the house I find that stuff so fascinating.

Really good book. Was a little hard to keep the characters straight, even though the author gave a breakdown of the characters & what previous book they were from. Too bad we have to wait until next year for the next installment.
