While, I do not generally like bossy men, I loved and appreciated Xandro Caramanis. He did not think of Ilana Girard as incapable just in need of his protection. She just kept saying no and he kept doing what he felt was in her best interest. What a hard headed male, I loved him. Yes , I would reccomend this book.

Aleksi Stefanos was out of her league.  And Alyse knew she was mad to contemplate playing games with such a man.

But it was the only way Alyse could secure happiness for little Georg, her dead sister's child.  She must fool Aleksi - at least until she had his wedding ring on her finger.

Afterward, she could set the rules for their relationship - and for how long it would continue.  There was only one loose end in her plan - she couldn't predict Aleksi's response....

My Review:

Mmm.  I liked the premise of this book, and I liked that the hero/heroine were BOTH strong people who refused to cave to the other person, who wouldn't compromise or give up their rights to the child.  They ended up married so that the other couldn't marry anyone else and try to get custody that way.

A Passionate Surrender by Helen Bianchin (HP 2279)

The marriage seduction! Ana had secretly hoped her marriage of convenience to Luc Dimitriades would turn into the real thing, yet one year after exchanging their vows he still seemed susceptible to the charms of his ex-mistress ... Holding her head high, Ana knew she had to leave. Luc wasn't prepared to let his wife go. In fact, he seemed determined to blackmail her back into his bed! Ana fought to resist his passionate persuasion, but Luc held one last trump card: he knew she was carrying his child ...

My Review:

Hmm, this wasn't a premise I could empathize with: the hero and heroine seemed to only be "settling" by marrying one another.  I didn't really believe they felt once-in-a-lifetime love for one another.

The Disobedient Bride by Helen Bianchin (HP 2463)

Back Cover:

Twelve months ago their marriage was perfect...Then Billionaire Tyler Benedict returns home to find his bed empty and Lianne, his wife, gone! Now Tyler will do anything to get his bride back! Tyler hires Lianne to be his personal lawyer-it's a deal she can't refuse. But this time Lianne is wise to Tyler's ways, he's after more than just a business arrangement; he wants her back where he feels she belongs...at his bidding!

My Review:

This was refreshing!  The hero loved his wife, and told her that clearly from the beginning.  When lies were told about him being involved with another woman, the hero didn't get stuffed up on pride and refuse to explain himself, he simply told her the truth: it's a lie, and wanted her to trust him.  When she didn't trust him, he didn't give up on her like other heroes have, instead he set a very determined plan into action, as soon as he physically could (three months went by before he could get away to chase after her), to get her back.

The Greek Tycoon's Virgin Wife by Helen Bianchin (HP 2669)

Back Cover:

Reluctant mistress, convenient wife

Xandro Caramanis wants a wife. She must be well-bred, willing to give him an heir and accept a loveless arrangement. Ilana Girard is a society beauty with a head for business who understands emotions are not part of the deal...

Ilana accepts Xandro's proposal because she needs his protection. He doesn't realize she's never slept with a man before, and it's reluctantly that she takes her place in his bed...

My Review:

She's a fashion designer who moves in high-society crowds.  He's a businessman looking for a sophisticated wife who will give him fidelity and children, the kind of arrangement he wants.  He thinks Ilana is the wife for him and pursues her, but his pursuit has consequences: she has a jealous abusive ex-fiance following her moves and he's angry at her involvement with Xandro.  After attacks, Xandro moves her into his home, and soon he's comforting her at night and sharing her bed.  Is this arrangement just convenience, will it last after the threat of the ex-fiance is removed?
