Personal Opinion - Good story about the efforts to save some dogs from a ruthless pursuer who wants to use them for experimentation.

Another excellent book by Iris Johansen. I loved getting to see some old friends again as well as make some new ones. I especially liked the very significant roles that dogs played in teh story. Started with a rescue dog and expanded out to include several dogs. There's a touch of the paranormal to this story as well which is crucial to the storyline revolving around the dogs. NFM

This books wasn't exactly what I expected. I'd thought this would be some sort of police procedure thriller, but instead it bordered on fantasy. Unfortunately, fantasy isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it might be for others.

Honestly I wasn't paying as close attention to this one as I usually do with her books. I was at work while listening to most of it. Bess Grady is a photographer who just returned from Croatia where she witnessed so much horror that occurs during wartime. Now she is working for a travel magazine and heading to tenajo, Mexico for a photo shoot.

This was mainly a tender love story with just a little plot thrown in. I really enjoy her suspense books a lot more. Kira Rubinoff comes looking for Zack Damon needing his help to rescue her friend. Zack is expecting her since he's known about Kira for a long time. I liked the fact that Zack came from a mixed background of Native American blood and Kira was raised by a woman of Romany descent.

I had a more difficult time getting into this novel versus other Johansen reads. It was a little slower moving and I had a slightly harder time figuring out the plot.
