Baby in Waiting by Jacqueline Diamond Harmony Circle Book 2

challenge_name:

When Brooke Bernard learns she's pregnant, she knows exactly what's missing from her soon-to-be family.

A daddy.

That
certainly isn't Oliver Armstrong, Brooke's new roommate. Oliver may be
gorgeous and caring, but the ambitious developer definitely isn't
father material.

Brooke is a walking disaster. She became involved with a freeloading married man, and then her boss’ wife accuses her of having an affair with the boss. She needs a place to live and has no money. Then she starts displaying pregnancy symptoms. Oliver is an enterprising person who is climbing up the social and financial ladder. Somehow, they managed to spark off each other. However, where will this lead?

I love the madcap Brooke; she is such a charmingly scattered-brained, sweet character. She believes the best of everybody and Oliver is such a great foil for her. The sparks that shoot off each other are palpable and it is no surprise when the verbal sparring becomes physical. I enjoy stories that revisit ‘old friends’ from other stories and introduces new ones. Very enjoyable, thumbs up read!

My thoughts:  When I think of America Romance, Jacqueline Diamond comes to mind.

Yours, Mine and Ours

This was a good book. I liked the concept of Robin learning after eight years she had mothered triplets. I like how Flint tried so hard to push her away when it was so obvious that he had fallen for her. This is definately a must read.

This is a new series by JD.  It is about a small California community and its residents.  This book focuses on Diane, a widow and Josh, her new neighbor.  Josh served on the jury for her husband’s killer, he was the lone stand-out on the man’s innocence, thus allowing him to go free.  Can Diane move beyond this and open herself to a new man, and can Josh open his own emotions to accept a woman and a community?
