Jane Porter
King of the Desert, Captive Bride
2 Stars. An okay read. Liv-naïve, stubborn, no common sense. Khalid-honorable, courageous, respectful. Khalid put his family's honour, his life & reputation on the line in order to save Live; yet Liv fought against him, thought that she could get out of trouble her way. The sight-seeing tour section was too long. Some incidents were cut off. NFM

The Sheikh's chosen queen
This was another great book. I love all the books published about sheikhs. This one was about the playboy prince who is now the sheikh, he summons his ex-girlfriend/sisters best freind. In a horrible car crash that killed his sisters she is still alive and teaching. She is then brought in and asked to help teach the children of his late sisters.
THE SHEIKH'S CHOSEN QUEEN
WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE ABOUT SHEIKH'S, palaces, being waited on hand and foot and a dream world in which to lose ourselves for an afternoon.
The Sheikh's Disobedient Bride by Jane Porter (HP 2542)
Back Cover:
Sheikh Tair lives by the rules of the desert. When he finds Tally has broken a sacred law, endangering the safety of his tribe, Tair has to act.
Tally is kept like a harem girl, but every time she tries to escape, the hostile desert drives her back. And with each new act of her disobedience, Tair's resolve hardens. As ruler, he must tame her. As a man he wants her -- willing or not! Warning: Feminists will object to the complete disregard of the heroine's right of choice here. Of course the hero redeems himself in a way: by not caring about her past lover(s) and by giving her back her freedom at the end.
Favourite Scene:
Tair refilled his cup of tea from the small glazed pot. “I shall find you a husband.”
“What?”
He nodded matter of factly before sipping his tea. “You need a husband. It is the way it should be. I shall find you one. You will be glad.”

Mrs. Perfect
I love Jane's very simplistic, minimalist style of writing. She gives you enough detail to know what something looks like, but she isn't real wordy. I was able to read this book in two days sitting by the pool (as we are having a heat wave in NJ!)
King of the Desert, Captive Bride
Entertaining - ending was too abreviated.
The Greek's Royal Mistress by Jane Porter (HP 2424)
Back Cover:
The royal plane is about to crash! Princess Chantal Thibaudet is rescued from the wreckage by Demetrius Mantheakis,a renowned international security expert, with wealth and a reputation to match. He insists that Chantal go with him to his private Greek island, where he can protect her.
But even princesses can become pregnant when they allow themselves to be swept away by a commoner - especially one as arrogant and sexy as Demetrius.... And a right royal scandal is about to break loose!
Favourite Scene: (I love how he so simply and easily says "fine")
He caught her hair in his fist, turned her face back to his. His dark brown eyes held a mixture of pain and anger. "So it is just sex you want."
She didn't understand what he wanted her to say, didn't understand where he hoped this would go. He knew her world. He knew her commitments. He knew what she had to do. "Yes."
The corner of his mouth curved. "Fine."
King Of The Desert, Captive Bride
This was a good book with a gallant sheikh and a grateful bride. A really nice romance that had me turning the pages quickly.
