This is a great read with real people with real problems.

Brett has returned to his hometown and is determined not to mess up again.  He's working a solid job, making a mortgage payment, going back to school, and trying to be a part of his daughter's life.  Then Claire arrives to teach in the tiny school in town.  She refuses to allow him to hide on the ranch by himself.  Claire helps him find a place again in his family and in the community.

This is the sequel to a book I read last year, The Horseman's Secret. It features that heroine's sister and that hero's brother. I liked the first book, and I liked this one even more. There was more focus on the romance, and it felt even more natural when they finally came together at the end (and I mean that in the most innocuous of ways, those of you with dirty minds!).

i LOVE this book.  the characters are so real.  Claire is so funny and bold and someone that i would like to be friends with, but even more someone that I wish I had been more like back in my single days!  and Brett, i love the bad boys and when he takes a special interest in a little boy with a mysteriously troubled family--well, that just sealed the deal--i love Brett! 

I usually ride my bus right up to the last moment possible to minimize the walk. I know I should get off a stop or two earlier and stretch my legs, burn some calories, but I'm usually hurrying home and besides that I'm really, really lazy.
