Joan Johnston
Book 57
The back of the book didn't do the story justice. To say I was reluctant to start the book would be an understatement. The term *chauvinist pig* is so dated as well as being totally clueless about performance art, this did not strike me as a book I was going to enjoy. I was wrong on so many different levels. I am so glad I made the decision to read the book.
Hawk's Way Grooms - "The Virgin Groom and The Substitute Groom"
Two books in one--The Virgin Groom - He was every kid's idol, every man's envy, every woman's fantasy and his financee dumped him. How he comes to realize what is important in life is the story. The Substitute Groom - He'd taught his best friend's girl how to kiss and had never forgotten the touch of her lips.

A Stranger's Game, a bitter creek novel
The Heroine was accused as a teen of killing her stepmother and abusive father (of course she didn't do it) and after she got out of juvi she used the millions left to her by her grandmother to change her identity and look for the real killer. In her pursuite she meets FBI SA Breed Grayhawk. or more or less picks him up on purpose.
The Killer... his boss.
The Bridegroom
This adventure takes you across the lines of family, betrayal, and spoils of war. You learn that early England in the days that even after you were tried and convicted you were shipped elsewhere to become someone elses problem. Or how the rich when they were disgraced they aften left for the Jamaican or Americas to reinvent themselves and maintain a dignity.
The Battle of the Sexes
My Opinion: The title is so appropriate. A battle of the sexes between a male chauvinist pig, the art critic Matt Benson and a feminist prig the artist, Jenny Smith. Oh what a wonderful story about the sexes.
