L.A. Confinential by Julie Kenner. Since I am originally from So. California, I was eager to read this book.

This third tale of Kate Connor takes up right where California Demon stops. Kate, wife, mother of a teen and a toddler,  and Level Four Demon Hunter of sunny San Diablo knows she has to tell Allie the truth about her demon hunting especially after Allie is attacked. Then there is the added mystery to find the truth about Erick's death.  

This was funny.  I especially liked how she began each chapter with a chapter that the hero was currently "thinking".  I laughed out loud when the hero was disrupted by the heroine while thinking of his current work-in-progress and he quickly turned on his voice recorder to say something so he wouldn't forget it.  They both thought each other was nuts for awhile.  The author definite

What a fun book this was!  A great, quick read that gave me lots and lots of laughs!

It's taken me awhile to get through this as I've been reading several at the same time. I enjoyed it but there are just so many books I want to read like NOW! This one starts up shortly where Carpe Demon leaves off.

I had a hard time finishing this book. It was too slow moving and boring.
