Lauren Dane

I read all the books in this series, for the very first time earlier this year, during a long ride from Korea to LAX... I have never read Lauren Dane but I have to admit I wasn't disappointed at all.

 I love the way the family are so close together and the bonds of the small town :)

 Sex in Las Vegas...need I say more?

Four great stories that take place in Las Vegas...sin city baby!  All are wonderfully written and steamy.

I thought long and hard about what my 100th book would be.  Then I chose to read the final Chase Brothers book by Lauren Dane.  It was an awesome choice for my landmark book.  I have enjoyed this entire series, but this one was so emotional I can't begin to describe it in mere words.

Liv Davis has just about given up on her happily ever after.  Burned by love more than once, she's beginning to think Mr. Right isn't in the cards for her.

Cassie Gambol is on the run.  In what seems like another lifetime, her ex-husband nearly ended her life and effectively ended her successful career as a vascular surgeon.  But even though the justice system found him guilty of attempted murder, he fled while awaiting sentencing and Carly Sutherland became Cassie Gambol.

     As soon as I read about this book on Lauren Dane's group I knew that it would be mine... and now it is.  I really enjoyed it and three of the stories are 4.0 to 4.5 stars.  The one that I rated 2.5 stars is that it came across far more as erotica rather than erotic romance; personally I'm not a fan of just erotica ~ I need an emotional connection with any very sexual story.  Otherwise, the story was good... just not my cup of tea.
   What I find amusing is that I read a review that was exactly the opposite of mine:  the reviewer didn't like romance with her erotica so three of the stories didn't do it for her and the other was the best... funny how different people can see the same thing so differently.  But that's what makes the whole reading thing so much fun, IMHO.
