I liked this book. I like historicals, and it had a small bit of suspense to it, so that's always a nice treat for me. I'm telling you, more historicals with suspense!! 

Poor preacher's granddaughter suddenly comes into an inheritance from her father. Suddenly, she becomes very attractive to the snobby mayor's son. Can the prospector who brought her the inheritance ever feel worthy of her love?

This is the story of a young, preacher's granddaughter who's granddad just passed away. She is left penniless and with very little options in life. A man brings her the news of not only her father's death but that he left her an heiress. She initially falls for the wrong man, but in the end falls in love with the man God chose for her.

Good read, although it was slow in some spots.

I liked this book. It takes a new twist by giving an inheritance to a woman of the Old West so that she has the means to pursue her dreams. But what will a poor woman do with all that sudden wealth? And can she handle the people who want to share her good fortune? Christmas is the perfect backdrop to show what’s really important in the world.
