On Writing Romance- Writer's Digest Books
I initially bought this book because Kate Walker's writing book was sold out and I needed instant gratification.
This is a very simple book and right at my level in the whole process of becoming published. It also helped for me that Leigh has published over 30 books with Harlequin and knows a lot about the company/process.
There are 5 parts to the book:

The Bride Assignment
A New Desire by Leigh Michaels (HP 1147)
The heroine is a widow, who was abused by her dead husband, and is now a career woman. She meets the hero, a type of trouble shooter, through his involvement in her family business's problems. She goes out of town to help at a failing business, and spends time with the hero. At first he volunteers to help her get over her sexual hang ups, and they have a no strings affair.
But she wants strings after a while, they have gotten into "relationship" territory, an intimacy and natural sharing has developed. Her feelings scare her, so she dumps him before he can move on to the next woman (he's got a slight reputation as a playboy) and hurt her. He respects her decision because he thinks she never wanted a serious relationship anyway. Once he learns there's hope she might love him back, he's all for marriage.

Tempting a Tycoon by Leigh Michaels
Alex was ambitious. She was on the fast track to success in
her legal firm – if she could persuade Kane Forrestal (high powered lawyer
specialising in mergers and acquisitions) to
give up beachcombing and return to the firm.
Kane however valued something that money couldn’t buy. Time.
Her Husband-To-Be by Leigh Michaels

breakfast. The new owners suddenly left leaving no explanation and Danielle and
Deke held the mortgage. To increase its likelihood of resale they decided to
run the business until a new buyer could be found. Misunderstandings and
clashes occurred.
