Deadly Texas Rose

challenge_name:

A great story with lots of twists.  Julia and Eric made a great pair.  I liked all the action from page one all the way to the last chapter.  Sam and Cat's flirting added just enough humor to keep the edge off the tension when it seemed to get to be too much for the characters in the story.

Mountain Sanctuary

Adam was just what Stella, Kyle and Wally needed, even it Stella didn't realize it at first.  Stella was just what Adam need to heal.  Their "reunion" at the end of the book under the sprinklers was sweet.

Lone Star Cowboy

David and Anna knew from the beginning that they belonged together -- if Trisha had had a little more maturity and not asked Anna to keep her secret then they could have been together earlier.  It was nice to find out a little more about Greg from Mission: Motherhood.  It was great to find out that little Ali made it safely to America.

A Face in the Shadows

I couldn't believe people actually suspected Parker Buchanon as the murderer.  He was such a great character.  No way someone that nice to children could have murdered someone.  It was nice that Kate was able to ignore all the negative comments about Parker and follow her heart.

Lone Star Secret

Could be a factual book about a homecoming hero. David Ryland flies in a orphan needing surgery.  He meets Anna Terenkov, who is a charity worker on the fort.  Both must work through pains from childhood in order to build a future together.

This is the next to last book in the series.  Interesting events happen.  What surprised me most was the bad guy pov changing from bad guy to bad guy.  Nice twist.  I truly loved the hero's house.  I want to go on vacation and tour it!  LOL

Secret Agent Minister

Even though the premise seemed a little far-fetched, I found myself drawn in by the drama and non-stop action of the story.  I enjoyed the ending, which kept me guessing.  The characters are likeable, too.  I recommend it!

challenge_name:

Comic book creator Parker Buchanan has been a recluse since the car wreck that nearly killed him.  He doesn't want to reconnect with anyone, least of all his college crush, Kate Brooks, who has moved back to town with her young son Brandon.  As the murderer continues to prowl the streets, things start to get scary for Parker and Kate, who have become the latest target of ill will.  The police are doing everything they can to apprehend the perpetrator, but will they fall for the deliberate planting of false clues that point the blame at Parker?

Easter Blessings

I read this book so I could share it with a friend.  This book was two stories in one book.  I enjoyed both stories and learned more about lilies and butterflies.  Overall this book was easy reading, but did inspire me to work on my relationship with God.
