Excellent book starring pediatric consultant Keelan Hunter, NICU nurse Jessie Russell and preemie twins. If you're at a place in your life where you can't handle the sick babies, though, you might skip this one for now, b/c the boy twin is in the hospital hanging onto life by his will through the book. Keelan half-sister died in childbirth, leaving behind the preemies. He's the best placed family member to adopt them, so he does, and he hires Jessie to care for the girl baby when she comes home. Keelan and Jessica respect each other and are attracted, but so much is going on with the babies that it's not a straightforward journey to their HEA . . . I'd forgotten just how well Lilian Darcy can write! I mean, if you asked me directly, I'd say, "Yes, she's a good writer" but this book really brings it home. NFM

Family issues are at the forefront of this big sister and single dad fighting for custody. The depth of caring is appealing, but for me their conflicts weren’t as romantic—though definitely on the realistic and believable side! A solid story.

This was the last in the series when the little boy's aunt finally regains consiousness. We discover who his father is and that he's been working at the hospital in Crocodile Creek for a while now. Sorry, I'm really not good with names.
