Sterling Prescott comes to El Paso because his acquisitions agent Trey Tanner wanted him to save KTEX TV instead of buying it cheap. Then he picks up a beautiful woman who's knocked down in front of him and they almost have sex in a public bathroom.

Kate is trying and failing to turn her TV career around when Jesse comes back into her life. He's supposed to be in training for the PGA tournament but he hasn't been able to hit a ball since he saved a woman's life with CPR. Kate and Jesse have been best friends forever. Is it time for them to become lovers? What will he do about the preteen son that suddenly turns up on his doorstep?
