Linda Goodnight

This is a very touching story about forgiveness. The ending might have been a little too dramatic for my taste, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the book.

Linda Goodnight is a wonderful storyteller and I'm glad to have more of her books on my tbr shelves.

Beautiful, rich Samantha Harcourt is on a modeling assignment in Africa when she takes a side trip and ends up at a mission. For one glorious day, instead of being the face that everyone knows, she's just a woman helping to build an orphanage. Not wanting to ruin her image, she doesn't tell the handsome missionary who she is. But she can't forget Africa or the homeless children there.

The more I read about the Valentine Family the faster I want to read these books.  Linda Goodnight did an awesome job dealing with childhood abuse in this story.  She was able to show the lifelong scars it can lead to, but also how they can be overcome.  Anyone dealing with this type of horror is a very strong person and needs someone to talk to.  Hopefully other people out there who may have

A Touch of Grace is the second book in the "The Brothers' Bond" series.  This story focuses on the baby of the Grace family, Ian.  After recovering from a serious childhood illness, Ian was adopted by the Carpenters, a childless couple in Louisiana.  Now working as a street preacher and shelter manager in New Orleans, Ian has no memories of his two older siblings.
