Christmas Presence: Three Tales of Love - and a thank you to Susan Crosby
Back in June I commented on a blog of Susan Crosby's and she sent me this book, which I saved until closer to the Christmas holiday season. Now, Nov 2 may not seem close - but I figured that once Halloween was over, I had better start in on some of my Christmas books - the boxes of seasonal books got knocked over by the cats, and is now one BIG box, which is rather intimidating.

Once a Cop
Roberta Meyers works as a cop trying to keep the streets clean for runaways like herself. She happens to "take down" youth pastor Holden Thomas in a drug bust. Holden runs a shelter for runaways and is raising his daughter. These two have tons in common, but Holden's fear keeps him holding Robbie at bay.

Excellent book. It is the second book in the Citizen's Police Academy series.

Citizen's Police Academy book 3
This is the third in the series, and I sincerely hope that there will be more. It's been interesting to read three books all taking place at the same time but from different points of view. Vice officer Roberta Meyers is proud of her work. She wants to make the world a safer place for her daughter.

Citizen's Police Academy book 2
Reporter Erin Powell is sure Officer Kent Terlecki is no hero. In fact, she's sure he's absolutely heartless and intends to prove it. Kent doesn't know why Erin has a vendetta against him, but he can't help but admire her courage and passion.

Once A Cop
All I can say is that Holden the hero was an idiot. He was the reason this book received the rating it did. If he had come to his senses a little bit earlier the book would have had a better rating. Thank god for the secondary characters who kept me interested until he got his act together.

Personal Opinon - The old legend was a good background for a new love for the descendants of the original couple of the legend and the plot against their love.
