This was a great reprint of Lori Foster's first book. I loved the story and it was wonderful and ageless!! It is just as great now as it was when it first came out.

"Oh, I get it." Lip curled, she opened the door and flounced out. "The boys want to talk shop. By all means. I don't want to get in the way."

Another chapter in the SBC fighter series. Harley has definitely closed off his heart and mind to any of the softer feelings. In fact due to needing to stay in control for his sport he now likes to be in control everywhere. When he starts seeing his sometimes landlady, Anastasia, in a new light he tries in vain to make his feelings fit with the way he has gotten used to things.

Another nice edition to the SBC fighter series. Dakota hasn’t had an easy time of it and due to some manipulation starts something she ultimately decides is not in anyone best interest, including hers no matter that she has to sacrifice to come to this decision.

Awhile ago I had already read the precursor to this book, Jude’s Law. While not having to if you read them both it helps explain and deepen your understanding of the characters and what is actually going on. Both books were great and I can’t really pick one over the other here.

Lori Foster writes such good books I knew I would like this, I just underestimated how much. Michael and Kayli are both very strong characters and of course that pretty much ensures some clashes. Michael right from the start will impress you with his compassion, and protectiveness, for others.

Nice book. Luckily here Noah was just what Grace needed, and wanted. Despite his early years he was a genuinely nice, strong, and decent person and Grace was also just who he needed as well. Grace chose well as she was very inexperienced in the ways of ‘men and women’ and could have found herself taking advantage of very easily, if someone had a mind to do that.

I really enjoyed the Foster stories (steamy!) and the second McCarthy entry was good (vampire guy, human female police officer) but her first offering about the "lost" children of the tsar from the Russian revolution just didn't do it for me. The characters from each pair of stories overlap, which is nice, and the hero in Total Control possesses superpowers, which I always think is a fun touch.
