Outback Angel in The Joy of Christmas

Angelica was a party planner.  Jake was Australia's most eligible bachelor.  He has a misconception of Angelica based on a misunderstanding of a scene he happened upon.  I really liked this story.

Wedding at Wangaree Valley by Margaret Way, Harlequin Romance Sep08 #4045

Guy Radcliffe is ‘The Man’ and he seems to have it all. Alana does not have is advantages, in fact, her family has been maligned in their society. How will they ever find common ground?

There is a richness and beauty to Way’s writing. If I had to pick one underlying emotion in the story, it would be poignancy. There were places were I felt like my heart was weeping at the beauty of her writing. I love her writing, or at least the writing in this book. Thumbs up!

Cattle Rancher, Secret Son

This was a cute story about Cattleman Cal McKendrick who fell for Gina Romano four years earlier and could never get over her.  She left without a word, now he finds a picture of her and goes after her for some answers and finds his three year old son.  He wants to claim his son, but will Gina go along.

Hidden Legacy

I have always wanted to travel to Australia, and Margaret Way's descriptions of the flora and fauna made me want to go even more. Her characters are a bit too intense for my taste; but overall this was one of my favorites of hers' all-time. The story line is fascinating, and the characters sympathetic.

I had a hard time getting into this book. It never really grabbed me. Although the imagery was wonderful--the surroundings and lush landscape sounded absolutely beautiful--I just couldn't get into the story.

#237 The Greatest Gift – Diana Palmer + Genni's Dilemma – Margaret Way (M&B Centenary Collection Special Release)

challenge_name:

I'd already read a version of DP's story in More Than Words, about the divorced mum down on her luck who brings food from restaurants to people who need it and falls in love with a cop. Still just as powerful and proceeds from UK sales go to the Breast Cancer campaign.
