Mary Jo Putney, Stolen Magic: Most of Putney's historical romances are on my keeper shelf and have been reread several times, but I just couldn't get into this historical paranormal because of the way the worldbuilding was presented. I was used to her historical worldbuilding

Dragons may rival vampires as a popular fantasy motif and, like vampires, the mythical beasts can provide a theme for romance as well. These four original paranormal novellas mix the two genres, but are far more romantic than fantastic.
