Mary Stewart

Touch Not the Cat

This is a classic that I love.  I have a deep love for Mary Stewart and the fun texture of her writing style.  Touch Not the Cat is one of my favorite Mary Stewart books and I borrow it from my mother in law every few years just so that I can love it again.

The Prince and the Pilgrim by Mary Stewart (unabridged audio)

Penn

Related to but not part of Stewart's Merlin (or is it Camelot or Arthur?) trilogy. This was written in the '90s, but still had a pace and voice that reminded me of books from the '70s or even earlier. The h and H don't even meet until the last cassette! It was enjoyable, but very different from my usual fare. I picked it b/c other reviews around here reminded me of Mary Stewart and it was available in unabridged audio. Read by Richard Mitchley. NFM
