Melissa Marr
Wicked Lovely - Captivating YA Book
Captivating young adult book!
From the back cover:
Rule #3: Don’t stare at invisible faeries. Aiislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty—especially if they learn of her Sight—and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.
Ink Exchange
INK EXCHANGE is the sequel to WICKED LOVELY (which I loved), part of Melissa Marr's YA series about mortal girls who get tangled up in the world of faeries.
Wicked Lovely - YA fantasy
WICKED LOVELY is one of those YA books I kept hearing about online -- including a lot of reviews calling in "TWILIGHT with faeries". While I'm no big TWILIGHT fan, I did love WICKED LOVELY.
Wicked Lovely
A paranormal YA novel. Aislinn is one of the only humans who can see the faeries who inhabit the mortal world and till now, for her own safety, she has never let them know she can see them. Trouble is, the rules that have kept her safe seem to be changing and she has been targeted as the Summer King's prospective queen - position she has no interest in, but no option of refusing.
Ink Exchange
I think I liked this book. I felt I missed a few key plot points a long the way and while I'm happy Leslie got what she wanted and needed, I didn't find the ending to be that satisfying. HEA or not, the ending should be good and I'm not sure this one was.
Wicked Lovely
This was a great book. I had a hard time putting it down. I'm not totally sold on the ending, though it does work. Aislinn, Seth, Keenan and Donia are all wonderful characters and I'm looking forward to reading more about them in future books,
Ink Exchange
A related book to Wicked Lovely but stands alone--another compelling story by Ms. Marr
Wicked Lovely
Compelling and unique contemporary fantasy
Wicked Lovely
I heard about this book a few months ago and finally got the chance to read it. WOW! Talk about amazing. It's a different kind of faerie tale and I can't wait to read more of Marr's work!
Ink Exchange
In Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr, Leslie has a horribly dysfunctional family--an alcoholic gambler for a father, a drug abuser for a brother who sells her to his drugged-up friends, and a runaway mom. She’s desperate to have normalcy in her life and drawn to a shop to get a tattoo. Not any tattoo, but one that will bind her to the Dark King of the fey.
