This was a good book to read. Talks of love lost over  careers choices. How they come back together to help with a case that   involves people wanting to defect from another country to the USA.

     This book I got because of the story by the incomparable Mary Balogh... I've not read a story by her yet that didn't grab at my heart and make a place there (okay, yeah that sounds rather painful but, honestly, it's not!).  And I enjoyed the other two stories almost as much... a very nice take on the story of the Gifts of the Magi.  And wonderful romances to boot.
