A young woman taking care of her four nieces and nephews moves in next door to a much older man, who becomes entrenched in their lives.  They have to work through the kid issue, his past medical issues, and the age issues before they can determine that they are the ones for each other. 

Good story line, a bit dry to follow here and there.

Cassie Rankin is a twenty-one-year-old who is raising her 4 nieces and nephews. The children's parents are in jail and Cassie is determined to do all she can to keep the children together. As a new Christian, she sometimes falls back on old habits, but she puts her trust in God to guide her to make the right decisions. Fortunately, her mentor, Angie, has generously given the young family use of her beach home to help them get on their feet. There, they meet thirty-two-year-old Wade Dalton who has recently recovered from Hodgkin's, and was looking for relaxation and quiet. That is something that will be hard to come by with a pretty young neighbour and four little kids.

I always enjoy a book with children in it. This is a story about a remarkable aunt who takes in her nephews and nieces and raises them on her own. Sparks do fly when she meets her next door neighbor but is there to many obstacles between them? I recommend you read this book to find out. NFM

Review: Hmm...This one is out of my comfort zone. It had a really touching storyline and I loved the characters for the most part. But in the beginning I felt it was a bit preachy. I don't know if it lessened through the story or if I just became use to it. I'll probably reserve judgement until I read a few more.

Wade Dalton had recovered from cancer.  But did he tell Cassie -- no way.  He tried, or so he said, but the words just wouldn't come. 

I would think that something like that would be a priority, and so did Cassie when she found out.
