The Loner's Guarded Heart (HR Apr 08)
This is a very good read.
The Loner’s Guarded Heart – Harlequin Romance #4020
Josie Peterson needs a break after her father's recent death. Her brothers had arranged a holiday for her-a rented cottage in the country sound perfect, until she finds out a rustic cabin and a cranky landlord, cattle farmer Kent Black in a beautiful but isolated location. Wounded by a family tragedy, Kent cut himself off from the world.

5 Stars. Josie-sweet, caring, forgiving but stood up for herself, + a good baker, no less! Travis-very caring, but turned away from the world because he didn't think he deserved to be loved anymore, until Josie came along. Very enjoyable read. I love Molly & the other supporting characters made the story came alive. Storyline flows very well. NFM

I liked this book; it was bitter sweet. The hero had so much tragedy in his life and the Heroine was suffering too. Together, they started to heal. I really liked the ending! Had me smiling. Thanks Michelle!
His Christmas Angel
This is a story of long time friends who are split apart by the boy leaving home because he does not get along with his family. The girl marries and becomes a widow whose husband left her very well provided. She takes care of alot of the old people in the small town including the boy's father. Ten years after leaving home the boy returns a very succesful man .

Michelle's second book is set at the end of the world, or close enough. Josie's brothers sent her on a much-needed vacation at Kent Black's ranch/retreat. Retreat really describes it -- he has only rustic cabins and isolation and beautiful scenery to offer. Josie wants contact with people and life and she reaches out to Kent and some townspeople. While she is afraid of many things, she's not afraid of loving despite the pain it might bring. How will she bring Kent back to the land of the living and loving? Good opening scene, good plot, good emotions, I'll enjoy watching Michelle develop and mature as an author. NFM
