Patricia Briggs
347. Cry Wolf ~ OMIGOSH, OMIGOSH, OMIGOSH! Outstanding new series by Patricia Briggs
I love Patricia Briggs' "Mercy Thompson" series, but this story I love even more so. It's an amazing compilation of elements ~ magic, romance, pack, family and evil ~ that created a story that I truly wanted to last forever.
2 Novellas and 4 Short Stories
Father Mine: Zsadist and Bella’s Story by J.R.Ward (Penguin Group, 2008)
Back Blurb:
Readers met and fell in love with Zsadist and Bella in J. R. Ward's third New York Times bestselling novel in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Lover Awakened. As a former blood slave, Zsadist bore the scars from a past filled with suffering and degradation until Bella came along and helped heal his emotional wounds. Now, though, with the birth of their child, the demons of his past have been resurrected, called forth by the innocent eyes of his beloved daughter, Nalla. Unless Bella and Nalla can bring him back with their love, he may be lost to them forever....
Moon Called
First in the Mercy Thompson series. An intense read, very urban fantasy. Werewolves and vampires, a great series in the making. I'll definitely be reading the next few in the series.
Cry Wolf
First full-length novel in the Alpha and Omega series, a spinoff of another of Briggs' series. I'd really been looking forward to this one. Perhaps not my absolute favorite book ever, but a good, solid romance that I have no doubt I'll re-read someday.
Wolfsbane and Mistletoe Anth. Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, Keri Arthur, & others Ace 10/08
Fifteen short stories edited by Charlaine Harris and L.P. Kelnor. Some were better than others but all were surprisingly good. Very enjoyable but it is hardback. More later just blogging for the counter, NFM
On the Prowl
Patricia Briggs story was the best of the four. I do not like Sunny's Mona series so I did not read that story.
Cry Wolf
I think Patricia Briggs is one of the best world builders writing today and so I wasn't surprised at all to discover just how much I loved Cry Wolf.
Some romance, some action, some suspense - all combined into a really quick, engrossing read.
The Hob's Bargain
Back when magic was forbidden and raiders killed good people in the villages for fun and profit, Aren of Fallbrook comes into her power of sight. Aren strikes a deal with the Hob, a magical being who has the power of the mountain, to help her protect the village and the people. But the Hob is the last of his kind and every spell has its price....
