Peggy Webb
240. Peggy Webb ~ Invitation to A Wedding ~ SSR reprint 2004
I'm not sure when I got this book, but it's been sitting in my TBR for quite awhile. I initially got it for Maureen Child's story in this collection ~ The Non-Commissioned Baby ~ after I'd read another of her "Bachelor Battalion" stories and loved it. But I read her story earlier this year and didn't realize when I first pulled this book out to read. Ah well... I did enjoy the second story in this 2-in-1 book; I've read one or two other stories by Peggy Webb, one of which is a keeper so it was a good thing.

Peggy Webb; Invitation to A Wedding; SSR / 2-in-1; 2004 reprint
(Summer Surrender w/ Maureen Child)
When Dr. Ben Standing Bear attended college pal Josie Belle Picken's wedding he didn't think he'd be the one walking down the aisle. But someone had to rescue her from Mr. Wrong. And when feelings and an undeniable attraction surfaced, Josie began to wonder...if Ben was Mr. Right.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I fell in love with Ben Standing Bear from the very beginning and Josie Belle was wonderful. They had been best friends in college, but neither was prepared for the sparks between them when they saw each other again... probably explains why they both lost all common sense. But all's well that ends well ~ and this story ended very well indeed!
NOTE: there's one little point in the blurb above that I want to clarify ~ Ben didn't show up at Josie's wedding, but at a prenuptial party.. and the story went from there!
237. Anthology (SSR) ~ Christmas Stories 1991
I got this book in a trade; I've read stories by three of the authors before and liked them... and it was just nice to add another anthology to my collection ~ and make up my harlequin numbers at the same time. I really liked two of the stories and enjoyed the oher two making this book a keeper. And despite the fact that the stories are 17 years old they are quite timeless... not that 1991 was that long ago... I think.
