Ellie Reed and her brother, Luke  leave their home in L.A. after their parents and their grandparents. Ellie, who was a pysciatrist, now a doctor, was also dealing with the loss of a patient, believing it her fault. So....she decides to run from the pain. Ellie and her brother begins to make a new life in a new town, their home town.

This was a first by this autor for me. It was a bit different and I liked it, but I didn't love it. Sure am glad they could work things out, but it's a Harlequin, so that is a given and the reason for my reading them. I like my happy endings. I think I liked Nick more than Emmy though.

Nick hired Emmy because the bank wouldn't give him a loan otherwise, but he's convinced he doesn't need her. Emmy falls in love with Nick, not realising he never intends to implement her suggestions. He thinks she has commitment issues and is convinced he can "fix" her, but won't let her return the compliment so she walks away. Will they sort out their disagreement?

Story of an efficiency expert hooking up with a carefree and laid back guy who doesn't think he needs efficiency in his life.  Watch out when these two get together.

Efficiency expert Emmy Jones plans everything down to the last detail.  But when her fiance' dumps her-leaving her wedding list and orderly life in tatters-she wonders if she'll ever find someone to love.  It certainly can't be the tall, dark, much too attractive stranger who's making a beeline for her table. 

Well, I must say that I loved the characters in this book!  They were so real, that I'm sure I know some people just like them in real life!  I absolutely loved the staff "pranks" on Emmy!!!!  I have worked for those companies and that is EXACTLY how employees are! 

 I'm a big American Romance fan, and this one fans the fire!
