I am so glad I picked this book up on a whim. I didn’t realize that it was part of a series—I just liked the blurb on the back cover. As soon as I started reading it came to me that I had read one of the siblings stories a month or so ago. Thumbs up.

The Daddy Makeover by RaeAnne Thayne

Lisa has to protect her daughters against her grasping in-laws after her husband's death, so she runs away from the custody battle and ends up next door to an injured FBI agent, acting as his caretaker, but then she starts to worry that he'll recognise her if a nationwide search is made for her, so after a whirlwind affair she runs again.

Book summary -

I love continuities, and am sad when they end. This is the last book in this particular series, and answers a lot of the questions raised in earlier books. It's an enjoyable enough book to read even if you didn't read the earlier ones, with  very enjoyable characters.

Juila Bond has found her way back to Cannon Beach with her two young children.  Will Garrett, her first love, is there too,but can he let her into his hurting heart?

Two broken hearts come together and create a brand new family. Beautiful setting for this lovely story. And there's a dog in it!

I totally did not remember this story at first, but then I read the first few pages and it started to come back to me.
