Rex Stout
The Doorbell Rang by Rex Stout (A Nero Wolfe Mystery)
It doesn't get much better than this. NFM
The Hand in the Glove - Rex Stout
Another audio book down. This is the first of the Dol Bonner mysteries. I got curious about her as she appeared in one of the last Nero Wolfe stories I listened to. I thought there were too many quirky characters in this one, though I did enjoy the appearance of Detective Kramer in the story.
A Family Affair - Rex Stout
Another unabridged audio book. I NEVER listen to abridged books - what is the point - you miss too much. This was a really good one, if you like Nero Wolfe stories. A little Watergate, a little Nixon, and a lot of the professional family. Hated the way this one had to end, but I think all the characters felt the same and the family will never be the same.
A Right to Die - Rex Stout
Another of the Nero Wolfe audio books. I am so glad I found my way back to these. Bathroom cleaning has never been so easy!
This one dealt with some of the civil rights issues of its time and really forced you to remember what the US used to be like.
Might As Well Be Dead - Rex Stout
Another Nero Wolfe complete and unabridged audiobook. This was my favorite of the 3 audio books. Really liked the lawyer, the mom, the mixed clients and the girl too! Fun mystery with some interesting secondary characters.
The Father Hunt - Rex Stout
Another Nero Wolfe complete and unabridged audiobook. The Father Hunt was a little confoluted even for a Wolfe mystery, but great in the end. Amy Denovo was an interesting character. Didn't like her "dad" though and her grandfather left a bit to be desired too!
If Death Ever Slept - Rex Stout
A Nero Wolfe complete and unabridged audiobook. Road trip with my husband to Tucson and we listened to one going and one coming and I listened to the third while cleaning house. It sure makes the cleaning more enjoyable! We have enjoyed other Nero Wolfe mysteries and were not disappointed with this one. Crazy mixed up Jarrell family and I was glad the "snake" got her due in the end.
