The Payback Club
I don't do reviews of my audio books because of the length of time they take me to listen to. I will say that I was curious how they would satisfy the storylines, and was quite pleased with the final solutions.
Leaving L.A. by Rexanne Becnel (NEXT)
I feel like I should say the heroine, Zoe, leaves Palm Springs. Not LA. Technically. But it's the LA state of mind she's putting behind her, but still, I kept expecting LA to play a role...that's me, being literal.
Blink of an Eye
This is a great story about a nurse who's lost her license, who ends up surviving Hurricane Katrina. She volunteers with an emergency medical team set up in the heart of the French Quarter, and there meets dedicated a dedicated doctor who goes to disaster sites a la Doctors Without Frontiers. The not-so-young heroine struggles with a lot of issues, including drinking.
The Payback Club by Rexanne Becnel, Harlequin NEXT
There is nothing like a wronged woman, well make that two... A couple of women meet at a gym, both women had had it with men and decide to do something about it. Their plan is simple: get in shape, do make overs and seduce each other's ex. But something happens in the execution.
Thief of My Heart by Rexanne Becnel
I'm revisiting my bookshelf while I am waiting for February's books to come out.
This one is from 1991. Funny, when I first read it, I was completely wowed! Now, after doing a little research into writing romances, there is a lot in it that is just so so. Even so, it still is a good read, so I will keep it on the keeper shelf.
