Pages 281, In this book author playes "the woman scorned" card to the hilt. When you read this book you get the sense of injustice from the daugherts point of view.  You learn right along with her that the very loving memmories she has been holding onto are not necessarily the black and white she thought them to be. 

When I looked at the cover, I didn't want to read the book!  BUT when I got into the story, a former gungliner who is trying to go right and keep those he loves save against a wealthy businesswoman who wants to kell June for killing her father.  It was fast-paced, Lily changes as she learns about her father and herself.There is humor, family relationships and danger all included.

Rachell sings in a saloon but the owner thinks she belongs to him. Jed kidnaps her to deliver her to her sister in California. She may be a "little thing" but she is a dead shot and she doesn't complain after being rescued or along the long journey. -- Except the first judge they come to marrys them which rather complicates things.

Liked the characters, liked the way the issues for both hero and herorine were resolved, Cora Mae is a surviver, and she is more than likable. Good story, want to read more by this author.

Cora Mae is a wonderful heroine.  To look for a stepbrother 20 years later, clear across the country, and escape her mother's clutches she proves she has quite a lot of gumption.  Loved the mud fight. Wish I could see the home that Chance and his brother had built. This one goes on my keeper shelf.

I really enjoyed reading Maverick Wild. It was fast paced and kept my interest all the way through. It was hard to put it down.
